Post-Treatment Care
It is extremely important that you take responsibility for following all post-treatment care as it is essential for an optimal outcome.
• Keep the plastic on for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 8 hours.
• Use a cold compress (not frozen) on each treated area for 10 minutes to control inflammation in the first 72 hours if your skin is highly pigmented.
• DO NOT expose the treated area to sunlight. Protect it with thick clothing. (Sun exposure may cause discoloration due to excess melanin production)
• DO NOT undergo any form of hair bleaching during the 30-day healing period. This will cause irreversible white spots.
• Apply Bepantol and Rosehip Oil (recommended) twice a day for 30 days. Use 3-10 drops of oil in the mixture and the amount of Bepantol will depend on the size of the area (it will help keep the area hydrated and stimulate collagen and elastin production).
• DO NOT scratch the treated area.
• Avoid immersion baths (pool, sea, or bathtub) and saunas. • Avoid hot baths or hot steam. • Do not use a loofah during bathing.
• Do not use a hot compress on the area.
• If the skin flakes or forms scabs, do not pick at them.
